On 15th November 2023, a French court has recently issued orders for the arrest of Bashar-al-Asad. Further, the French Judges also issued the orders for arrest of Bashar-al-Asad brother Maher-al-Asad. This arrest warrant also includes the names of other two senior officials due to the usage of banned chemical weapons by these persons against the common people of Syria. The decision was taken in the wake of chemical attacks in the town of Douma and the district of Eastern Ghouta in August 2013, attacks which killed more than 1,000 people.
