History of UCP

The journey of the University of Central Punjab was started in the year 1996. Initially, the Punjab Institute of Computer Sciences, Punjab College of Information Technology, and Punjab College of Commerce were the bases of the university to start from scratch. Moreover, the faculty of engineering was started in 2002.

UCP Lahore Campus

The University of Central Punjab has its only main campus which is located in Lahore near the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and Research Center. It is located just at the bank of Khayaban-e-Jinnah.

The total area of UCP is almost 500,000 square feet. This main campus was built in 2010 and there are primarily 5 blocks of this campus.

There is also an auditorium for the meetings and functions that are arranged at UCP. The capacity of the auditorium is 300 seats. Further, there is a library in the university that has 40,000 books on different subjects.

Every year University of the Punjab conducts admission tests for the degree of Mphill in various departments and colleges.

This admission is taken in a series of steps. Generally, the admission process starts after the month of October.

Punjab University Mphill Admission 2024

The admission for the Mphill degree in university of the Punjab, new campus Lahore will start in after the month of October.

In the first step, Punjab University Lahore will advertise the Mphill admission on its own website as well as in various national newspapers.

In the second step, Punjab University will conduct the written test for various programs of Mphill degrees.

After the conduction of Mphill admission test, the passed candidates and failed candidates will be shared by each department separately.

Mphill interview has 10 marks. There is a interview admission committee that conducts the interview for the candidates.

University of the Punjab Lahore every years conducts the tests for the admission of PhD in various programs. This admission test vary from department to department and from program to program.

But most of time the university of the Punjab Phd admission test is subject and there are two, three or four subjective questions. These questions are solved on answer sheets that are provided by the each department.

Phd Admission Test – University of the Punjab Lahore

Most of time the university of the Punjab PhD admission test is subjective. But some time the PhD test is mixture of subjective and objective.

Punjab University PhD admission Criteria

The percentage of Punjab university admission test is of 40%. On the other side, 40% ratio is fixed for the academic marks.

Furthermore, there are 10% marks for interview. 5% marks for professional and relevant experience and 5% marks are reserved for the publications. One marks for each authentic publication.

Punjab University PhD admission Fees

The admission fee for Punjab university new campus PhD degrees also vary from department to department. It starts from Rs. 30,000/- per semester and there up-to 35,000 per semester.

Most of the department receives PhD fee on semester basis. But there are some departments that collect the PhD fee on annual basis.

Punjab University admission for Phd generally starts after the month of October. First of all, you have to apply online, deposit the admission test free i.e. around Rs.500/-.

You have to appear in Phd admission test, pass the test and then after calculation of merit on the basis of academic marks you are selected for the interview.
