Brief Facts About Intel Chipset;
INTEL released 80486 chip ; The 80486, conjointly i486 and 486, (pronounced eighty-four-eighty-six) was a family of 32-bit 4th generation x86 microprocessors introduced by Intel in 1989 as a successor to the 80386. 486 introduced variety of enhancements to 386 as well as a brand new level one cache. higher IPC performance, associated an integrated FPU. The 486 became the primary x86 chip family to exceed one thousand thousand transistors. Like its precursor, the 80486 maintains full backwards code comparison with the all previous x86 processors. (80386, 80286, 80186, etc…). To enhance performance Intel introduced a brand new layer of cache on-die (previously numerous external extensions existed). The Release of 80486 Intel Chip was a revolution in computer industery.
