The University of Lahore Girl Proposes to Boy
Social media in Pakistan is flooded with the news of a couple who is seen hugging each other. The important thing is that many of their university fellows are capturing pictures and making videos of their hugging scenes. This is a very routine as well as a normal thing in modern European societies. But it is a very unusual or odd thing in Pakistan’s traditional society. So, social media is flooded with the versatile views of people.
Some people dubbed this event against the moral and social values of Pakistan. While others supported this event. Furthermore, in the video, it is observed that girl was kneeing on the ground and offering a bouquet to the boy standing in front of the boy, and saying something to the boy. But words of the girl could not listen due to the noise of cheering.
The University of Lahore has Expelled a Couple
In the later move, the University of Lahore administration expelled both i.e. girls and boys from the university. In its notice, the University of Lahore has explained that both students have violated the rules and regulations of the University of Lahore. Therefore, in a quick move, the university administration expelled the couple. Furthermore, this quick move of the University is taken to avoid any harsh response from the public. It is because in such events the people’s reaction is very strong. And at an educational institute such kind of event is unbearable.
Although the culture of Pakistani private and public universities is not as liberal as it is in the European states. But still, the current environment is very dangerous. In the previous days, a young man is taken into custody by the police due to the accusation of the death of a girl after an abortion. These kinds of events are common due to the negligence of parents in our daily life.
In the modern-day, parents are paying heed to the activities of their children at home as well as out-of-home activities. It is the need for time to focus on the activities of children and keep them engaged. Similarly, there is a need of creating a friendly environment between parents and children. Because neglecting the children results in their focus on out-of-home activities.
Deteriorating Moral Values
It seems that the moral values in Pakistan are deteriorating badly due to the excessive usage of social media, such as Facebook and TikTok. These applications and especially TikTok have spread vulgarity in society. Sometime before the Pakistani government due to the immoral use of TikTok banned this social application in Pakistan which later on again opened for the Public.
