In Pakistan, the National Education Policy of 1972 sought to promote accessibility and inclusivity to revive the educational system. It addressed the differences in education between areas and social classes by emphasizing free and required education for all kids. To represent the cultural diversity of the country, the policy aimed to encourage Urdu as the medium of instruction. It also attempted to harmonize education with national values by introducing Islamic teachings into the curriculum. Although the program was implemented with good intentions, there were difficulties, and to accommodate Pakistan’s changing educational demands, more reforms were enacted.
