In 1991, there was a mission called Operation Solomon, which focused on transferring Ethiopian Jews from Addis Ababa to Israel. They did so on a cargo plane designed to move tanks and large equipment. They went by need, so had numerous pregnant women on the flight. Two gave birth during the flight, so what started at 1,086 to board ended up landing with 1,088 people.
