Sardar Tanvir Ilyas PM AJK Disqualified by High Court

Today on the 11th of April 2023, the full court of Azad Kashmir High Court has disqualified the Prime Miniter of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Tanvir Ilyas due to a contempt plea. The full court of AJK High Court has summoned the PM Azad Kashmir Sardar to attend the High Court due to the derogatory language used against the top judiciary of Azad Kashmir.

In its notice or summon, the High Court has mentioned that it was noticed in print, social and electronic media that PM Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanvir Ilyas was using the below-the-belt language and remarks for the top judges and judiciary of Azad Kashmir which is unacceptable.

PM AJK Disqualified from Assembly Membership

In today’s verdict, the full court has issued its decree that the PM is no more and the Azad Kashmir legislative assembly has to elect the new Prime Minister for the remaining tenure of the assembly. Whereas, the AJK PM has the right to appeal before the Supreme Court of Azad Kashmir.

PM Azad Kashmir Appears in Supreme Court

After appearing before the full court of the High Court, PM Azad Kashmir also appeared before the judiciary of the Supreme Court of AJK in Muzaffrabad. Firstly offering to apologize in High Court, the PM also offers to apologize in Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has dismissed the hearing for two weeks.
